Greenhouse Gas

California Greenhouse Gas (GHG) planning and verification is required by AB 32 and is important in the reduction of C02 and GHG-equivalent-gases (eCO2).  No matter which way you believe as to the impact of global warming, policy has been set at tthe federal and some state levels and the time to act is now.  GHG plans were required in California for "select facilities" on June 1, 2009 and GHG verification in 2009 is voluntary becoming mandatory n 2010.

Key California Air Resources Board 2010 regulatory dates to remember are:

  • April 1 2010 - Deadline for GHG for general facilities and electrical;
  • July 1, 2010 - Deadline for GHG plans for refineries, cogens, cement
  • October 1, 2010 - Deadline for Verficaiton for General Facilities
  • December 1, 2010 - Deadline for Verifcation for Refineries, Cement, & Electrical
We assists clients with development of both strategic GHG planning and Climate Action Plan  (CAP) development and energy & water conservation planning which reduces a facility's carbon footrpint.
